Locations

Locations represent the places where camera traps are deployed. A location has a name, coordinates, and optionally a habitat and/or feature. The available features are defined as part of the Camtrap DP standard.

A location can be used for multiple deployments. For example, if a camera is installed at the same location for one month each year, all deployments can be linked to the same location.

Locations can be imported in two ways:

• Individually, by selecting Add Location and entering the required information.

• In bulk, by selecting Import from CSV and uploading a CSV file. An example CSV file is available on the Locations page to help ensure that your file has the correct format.

After importing one or more locations, they will appear in the location list and on the map.

You can edit a location by clicking the edit icon next to it. This opens the location edit page, where you can:

• Modify the location information.

• Delete the location.

• Upload an image of the location itself (showing where the camera is placed).
