Validate

The validate feature allows users to indicate that a sequence and all associated observations have been reviewed and confirmed to be correct.

During annotation of a deployment, a Validate button is available at the top of the observation list. Clicking this button validates the entire sequence, including all observations within that sequence.

Validation can be useful to support quality control in several situations, for example:

• Confirming AI-generated observations after they have been reviewed.

• Verifying observations of difficult-to-identify species by a taxonomic expert.

• Marking observations that have undergone a quality control check.

Once a sequence has been validated, its observations are clearly marked as validated throughout the platform. The validation status is visible in the Observations menu and in the export.
