Observations
This page shows the observation table of all observations and unannotated sequences in the project.
Sampling point: location to which the observation belongs.
Deployment ID: randomly generated identifier of the deployment.
Sequence ID: randomly generated identifier of the sequence.
Observation ID: randomly generated identifier of the observation.
Timestamp: date and time when the sequence was recorded.
Observation type: type of observation: Species, Empty, SetupPickup, DeploymentCalibration, Unknown, or Unclassified
Species: Species assigned to the observation.
Individual: individual identifier, if specified.
Quantity: number of animals observed.
Age: Age class of the animal, if specified.
Sex: Sex of the animal, if specified.
Behaviour: Any behaviours added to the observation.
Uncertain: Indicates whether the observation has been marked as uncertain.
Validated: Indicates whether the observation has been validated.
Created by: User who created the observation.
Last modified by: user who last modified the observation.
If a row is mostly empty and the Observation type is Unclassified, it means that the sequence has not yet been annotated.
Use the filter boxes at the top of each column to filter and sort observations. Above the table you can also select a start and end date to display observations from a specific time period.
You can directly edit an observation by clicking either the edit icon on the left side of a row or the row itself. This opens a modal similar to the annotation page.
You can delete an observation by clicking the delete icon on the left side of the row. You can also use the checkboxes to select and delete multiple observations at once.
There may be multiple pages of results, use the page controls above and below the table to browse through pages.
By default, observations are displayed in List view. Using the icons above the table on the left side, you can switch to Grid view, where each observation is displayed together with an image from the sequence to which it belongs.
In Grid view, you can:
Filter observations by species.
Hide unclassified sequences.
Change the layout by selecting the number of tiles displayed per row.
